8. Refusal of Sale or Delivery
TAU FOODS LTD reserves the right to refuse the sale, collection or delivery of alcoholic beverages where reasonably necessary, including where:
- satisfactory proof of age cannot be provided;
- the recipient appears to be under 18 years of age;
- the recipient appears intoxicated;
- the delivery driver reasonably believes the alcohol may be supplied to a person under the legal drinking age;
- completing the delivery would otherwise breach applicable law or licensing conditions.
Where alcohol is removed from an order, the remaining products may still be delivered where appropriate.
9. Safe Place Deliveries
Alcoholic beverages will never be left:
- unattended;
- in a nominated safe place;
- with a neighbour without prior authorisation and only where legally permissible;
- in any location where age verification cannot be completed.
A responsible adult must be present to receive alcohol deliveries.
10. Customer Responsibilities
Customers purchasing alcohol are responsible for ensuring that:
- someone aged 18 or over is available during the selected delivery window;
- valid identification is available where requested;
- delivery information is accurate;
- alcohol is not purchased on behalf of anyone under the legal drinking age.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in the alcohol portion of the order being cancelled or withheld.
11. Refunds for Alcohol

- remove the alcohol from the order;
- issue a refund where appropriate and required by law;
- deduct any applicable delivery charges or other reasonable costs where permitted by law and clearly disclosed to the customer.
